Children's Ministry

Sunday morning and Wednesday evening Bible Classes: We are truly blessed to have an awesome group of teachers for our children from cradle roll on up. There are teachers with decades of experience to those who have just started. We have professional teachers and others from many other vocations. But the one thing they all have in common is a love for Christ and for the kids and the devotion to see the children grow in Christ.
Class events: Elementary classes participate in quarterly activities which can range from service projects to bowling. Our pre-teen class becomes more active as they prepare for entering the Youth Team in 7th grade.
Wee Worship: This is offered every Sunday morning during the lesson portion of our worship assembly. Children ages 3 through kindergarten are treated to a Biblical lesson appropriate for there age through story-telling, object lessons, crafts, games and even puppets.
Bible Bowl: We are currently preparing for Bible Bowl 2008 which will be our 7th. This event is held annually in Cookeville Tennessee on the campus of Tennessee Tech. Each year great fun has been had but most of all there was excitement about learning about the Bible. This year’s topic is II Samuel.
Lads 2 Leaders and Leaderettes: The children also participate in this program each year. Throughout the year we work on goals such as memorizing scripture, leading singing, service projects, as well as puppeting, creating art of all types and a lot more. We then participate in the annual convention at the Opryland hotel each Easter weekend.
VBS: Vacation Bible School is an annual event. This year's was great fun. June 14th we all visited Cosmic City and learned that God is awesome!
Puppet Team: 12 very talented young people ranging from 5thth to 10th grade make up this year's puppet team. We have performed for other churches, nursing homes, community picnics and a summer camp as well as leading wee worship one month a quarter and serving our younger classes with skits. This year we are going on our most ambitious tour performing at 8 locations in 6 cities from Martin TN to Auburn Alabama and points in between.
Volunteer opportunities: Opportunities to serve abound here. Teachers, assistants, story-tellers, puppeteers, A/V technicians, seamstress, painter, crafts, you name it, there is a way you can serve our kids. Just let me know if you are interested.
